Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website and book a journey with us, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use. This statement covers the Sussex Cars website only.

Our standard

We aim for this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA - covering things like readable colour contrast, text that can be resized, a site that works with a keyboard alone, and content that’s structured so screen readers can navigate it sensibly.

What we’ve done

• Clear heading structure and page titles on every page
• Text and background colours checked against WCAG’s 4.5:1 contrast ratio
• A visible focus outline on every interactive element when navigating by keyboard
• Layout that adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels
• Descriptive link text and alt text on meaningful images
• Forms with labelled fields and visible error messages

We last checked colour contrast and keyboard focus visibility site-wide on 4 September 2026.

Known limitations

Some parts of the site rely on third-party services we don’t fully control, and may not meet the same standard:

• The embedded Google Map on our Contact and Find Us sections follows Google’s own accessibility, not ours.
• Our online booking system (linked from “Book Online”) is operated by a third party and has its own accessibility support.

If you hit a problem with either of these, contact us directly (details below) and we’ll help you book another way - by phone, we’re available 24 hours a day.

Travelling with us
